 Poly-Die Pads
  Ideal for Radius V-Bends or U-Bends
 
   
Most Poly-Dies are square shaped, thus offering four working surfaces.
Scratch-Free Forming - Sharp Bends or Radius Bends with the same bottom die.
Versatility - Sharp or Radius V-Bends, different gauges, different angles, different radii can be formed with the same bottom die pad, just by changing the punches.
Unique Design - Designed to fit inside standard steel retainers, POLY DIES offer the advantages of economy, light-weight, ease-of-use and safety. The pads are designed to exert progressively increasing forming pressures, directly proportional to the depth of the punch penetration into the pad.
Economical - Savings of Die Alignment, shimming and other set-up times, combined with the ability to form different types of bends with the same bottom die, makes this an indispensable tool for any Press Brake Fabricating Shop.

 U-Pads (PUDs)
  Used for One-Hit Radius Bends (with over-bends of up to 20°).

For harder metals, and large radius bends, over-bends of more than 20° may be necessary. In such applications, 3 or more hits will be necessary.

Limitations:
Even though these pads are designed to be versatile, they do have limitations. Usages should be limited to the recommendations in this brochure. Any usage beyond these recommendations would be construed as misuse.
Maximum Depth of Punch Penetration = Half of Relief hole Diameter.
Maximum Width of Punch Penetration should never exceed the relief hole diameter.

Advantages:

Unique Design: No need for retainer; 60mm wide molded tang, enable easy installation.
Less Tonnage: A molded hole through the full length of the pad reduces the tonnage required to deflect the pad.
Versatility: Sharp V-Bends or Radius V-Bends can be formed with the same POD pad. Radius U-Bends can be formed with PUD pads in 1 hit.
Scratch-Free Forming: Pre-polished, pre-painted or coated metals can be formed without surface marks.
Economical, Light-Weight Tooling

Eventhough these pads are designed to be versatile, they do have limitations. Usage should be limited to the recommendations. Any usage beyond these would be construed as misuse.
